Trip Details
*** 2024 Update: We are not offering fishing trips this year, including our fully guided Bass fishing trips, although Aaron is still active on the tournament circuit. We hope to be offering guided trips again in 2025 ***
We believe the best bass fishing in Washington State is in Grant County. Only book this trip if you’re ready for a day packed with pole-bending, hook-setting action on smallies and largemouth bass. We LOVE waterfowl hunting but a close second is fishing for bass, walleye or steelhead. You won’t be disappointed in booking a bass fishing trip with Aaron or one of our guides, depending on availability. We’ll meet at the boat launch of the Half-Sun gas station. The meet time will be communicated by our guide via email or SMS as the trip approaches. Up to two (2) anglers plus our guide will fish from one of our Triton bass boats..

Bass Fishing FAQs
What’s considered an average vs pretty-good day of bass fishing on a guided trip?
Fishing is fishing so some days are head-scratchers but not many, we tend to hook a lot of bass on our guided trips. On an average full-day trip, weather dependent we’d expect to hook into 12-15 bass in the pound and a half range, 30-40 bass is a good day. We get ample bass in the 4-5 pound range, occasionally we stretch the line on FATTY’s in the 6-pound neighborhood.
Do I bring my own rods & tackle?
You’re welcome to bring your own gear but we typically supply all rods and tackle. If you feel more comfortable fishing with your own gear, we get it; just let us know. Otherwise, we fish Shimano & G-Loomis in both baitcasting and spinning setups.
What’s your policy on catch & release?
100% catch and release for bass. The eastern Washington waterways while plentiful with bass, don’t have the support system to handle people catching, keeping, and eating bass. We respect every anglers legal right to fishing and keeping fish. That said, outside of a mortally wounded bass, if you’re looking to put bass in a cooler or hang on your wall, we’re not your guide.
What’s a typical bass fishing trip look like?
We’re more than happy to customize trips based on your preference. Otherwise, plan to fish hard, plan to fish a full day. Our second love to waterfowling is bass fishing so we only need half an excuse to spend a day fishing for bass in eastern Washington. We love it and hope you do too! Aaron or your guide will be in contact with you via email, SMS, or via a call to provide specific meeting details. Be sure to check out Trip Planning and FAQ pages for additional info.
What fishing methods do you use for bass?
We can’t rule out Aaron’s Largemouth-scented body wash but most of the time, the approach for our guided bass trip completely depends on the time of year, water temperature, and weather conditions.
In the Spring, expect fo fish a little slower w/ sinking bates; water temps hovering in the ’60s. As the water temperatures get into the ’70s-’80s, the booked trip will change to reflect a more aggressive bass.
How many people per trip?
Our prices reflect one person booking Aaron (or one of his guides) for the day. First come, first serve. However, we can have up to two client anglers on the boat. So, if a person books a bass trip they can fish solo or opt to save $50 a person and share the boat. One person or two, plus your guide.
