Snacks, Lunch, Drinks
Don’t count out duck kabobs during one of our epic quacker hunts so, consider it a surprise when it happens. Please bring your own snacks, lunch, and refreshments. If we’ve not limited by lunch, expect to eat yours in the blind. Plan on 6-7 hours or more in the blind or boat please pack snacks and refreshments accordingly.
BEING GOOD STEWARDS OF THE OUTDOORS
Please pack out what you pack in. All land, private or public deserves to be left better than we found it. All wrappers, wads, spent shells, and garbage, in general, should be packed out or put in the garbage pail provided during clean-up.
Ammo, Shotguns, Licenses
Ammo - Your expected shot range will vary a little between 10-40 yards, depending on the species hunted. For example, doves or pigeons, you might want a 12 gauge or 20 gauge shotgun with shot sizes of 5-8 in your bag. On the other hand, a safe bet for ducks is shot size #4 up to BB and for geese, shot size #2 up to BBB. We recommend 3 boxes per day for waterfowl. Our guides carry extra boxes of ammo in their vehicles just in case that was the “one thing left at home.” Given the volatility of pricing, boxes are resold at whatever we paid for them.
Shotgun - Which shotgun you bring on your trip with us mostly comes down to personal preference. A 20-gauge, 16-gauge, or 12-gauge pump, semi-automatic, side-by-sides, and over-and-unders all make excellent waterfowl and upland bird guns. You can add a .410 for doves.
Licenses - We encourage you to visit Washington State DFW Licensing if you have any questions or need to purchase a hunting or fishing license online. New hunters born after 1/1/72 must show proof of completion of Washington State’s hunter-ed course.
Fishing Licenses may also be purchased online at WDFW or locally at Sportsmans Warehouse and Walmart in Moses Lake.

More Trip Planning
Fishing Trips
The most important item, your fishing license. The rest of your packing list should be personal needs; sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, rain gear, snacks, and beverages. Our guided trips will have coolers and ice on the boat. If you’re bringing a cooler to transport fish home, we won’t need it until after we return for the day.
Dove Hunts
Our guided dove hunts are usually paired with warm weather. As such, packing lightweight camo options usually suffice. Hunter orange is not required but we encourage every to be familiar with Washington State DFW hunting regulations.
